Smart Busduct Temperature Monitoring Solution
Busduct Temperature Monitoring is a smart system that keeps track of the temperature inside your electrical busduct. It works in real time, giving you instant alerts if the temperature gets too high, helping you avoid costly breakdowns and keeping your operations safe.
In many mechanical & electrical (M&E) industries, busducts carry large amounts of electricity to power factories, buildings and data centres. Over time, heat can build up inside the busduct due to heavy load, loose connections or dust build up. If this heat is not detected early, it can cause equipment damage, fire hazards and even long power outages.
How Does Busduct Temperature Working?
1. A light pulse is sent into an optical fiber.
2. Some of the light bounces back (scattering) with different wavelengths.
3. Raman anti Stokes signal changes a lot with temperature useful for measuring temperature.
4. Raman Stokes signal changes only a little with temperature mainly used for reference.
5. By comparing these signals, the system can figure out the temperature along the fiber.
